US Army Chooses Leupold’s® ER/T M5 Auto-Locking Adjustment Riflescope as Primary Day Optic For the XM2010 Sniper Rifle…

The U.S. Army selected Leupold’s® Mark 4® 6.5 x 20 Extended Range / Tactical (ER/T® ) M5 Locking Adjustment rifle scope as the primary day optic for the M24E1 project. You may recall that, last year, Remington Defense was awarded a contract to upgrade 3600 of the venerable M24s to the more potent .300 Win Mag; leading to the U.S. Army’s new sniper weapon system, the XM2010.

Standardizing on the Leupold’s® Mark 4® 6.5 x 20 Extended Range / Tactical (ER/T® ) M5 Locking Adjustment rifle scope.

Key features of the new ER/T include M5 windage and elevation adjustment dials with audible, tactile 1/10 (0.1) milliradian clicks to match the range-estimating, mil-based Horus H27 and H58 reticle options, allowing fast, intuitive shot correction in the field.  An elevation zero-stop helps prevent under-rotation in high-stress situations.

Leupold’s® Mark 4® 6.5 x 20 Extended Range / Tactical (ER/T® ) is a first focal plane design that allows for accurate ranging at any magnification setting.

Congratulations to our friends at Leupold & Stevens, Inc., and Horus Vision, LLC.
