Colt Enters Precision Bolt Action Rifle Business.

Just got back from an extraordinary bike ride to find out that Colt Industries has entered the precision bolt action rifle business. The company made the announcement and debuted its new M2012 at this year’s NRA Conference and Exhibit in St. Louis.

The M2012 is chambered in  .308 and features a 22 inch fluted stainless steel barrel on a pretty interesting chassis. I’m guessing that it won’t be too long before it appears as a 300 Win Mag as well. M.S.R.P. on this rifle will be $3799, and I’ll have more on Colt’s M2012 in subsequent posts.

  1. NRA member says:

See them at St. Louis. Nice try Colt but price point is way to high- buy the savage 10BAS and take the left over 2 grand and buy a good scope and surprise the competition every time.
