SAAB, of Sweden, announced today that USSOCOM has placed an order totaling $25.8 million for Carl-Gustav 84mm recoilless rifle system and ammunition. The Carl-Gustav is a man-portable system filling anti-armor, anti-structure and anti-personnel roles. SAAB has made continuous improvements to the system along the way keeping it current and viable. Delivery of the follow-on systems will complete July 2013.
