Visual Explanation of the Hybrid NVD

I get questions, from time to time, from readers that have an interest in a hybrid night vision device, so this is an excellent way to deal with that – courtesy of the ATN folks in the Bay Area.

The hybrid NVD incorporates an uncooled thermal sensor along with the traditional image intensified optic. Therefore, things that could normally be obscured by smoke, vegetation or haze are detectable through their heat signature.
