Deer Trail, CO, Officials Are Asked To Please NOT Shoot Down Drones.

Just when you think you’ve hear it all, you discover that you’re only at the tip of the iceberg. It appears that officials from Deer Trail, CO are contemplating issuing a $25 drone hunting license. They may even post a $100 bounty for any drone that is shot down, provided the shooter can prove the claim. It seems Deer Trail Officials aren’t happy about their privacy being violated, so this is one approach I suppose.

I admire their spirit but the method is all wrong, and I would suggest this is a issue best handled in the courts and at the polls.

Deer Trail before you start launching rounds into the air, here are some things you should know.

    • The Global Hawk has a service ceiling of 60,000 feet and it can linger at about 310 knots. At its service ceiling, depending on its payload, can monitor over 1,300 square miles. It can stay in the air for about 28 hours but they usually keep that at about 20 to 24 hours. In that time it can cover with extreme accuracy and detail about 40,000 square miles. Here’s what that means – they can see you before you see it.
