Ashbury Precision Ordnance Mfg, , Ruckersville, VA has added the ASW223 chambered in the high performance .223 Wylde cartridge to its comprehensive ASW line of precision bolt action rifles. Like all of its family members the ASW223 (Asymetric Warrior) uses APO’s patented SABER®-FORSST® modular rifle chassis system. The Wylde chamber allows the user to chamber the Remington .223 as well as the NATO 5.56×45 specification.
The 1-in-8″ twist barrel is chambered and finished with a target crown and muzzle brake suppressor adapter. The configuration will stabilize an 80 grain projectile up to 600 yards. The fire control group uses the patented Huber Concepts Staged Break tactical two-stage trigger, set to 3.5lbs. At the heart of this Ashbury tactical rifle platform is a precision machined Surgeon or APO SX bolt action receiver with a 10 round detachable box magazine.
The ASW223 modular chassis further incorporates a folding Push Button Adjustable Hybrid (PBA-H) shoulder stock with adjustments for cheek piece height, length of pull, and Limbsaver® recoil pad drop.
