Over the last 10 years or so, I’ve had the opportunity to fire a number of semiautomatic and fully automatic shoulder fired weapon systems. In the machine gun category, the only two I would requisition, should the need arise, is first; the Knight’s Armament Company Light Machine Gun; second, any one of the M60 variants from US Ordnance, in precisely that order.
However, one’s mind should never be closed to new and interesting concepts, the HK121 being one of those. After you’ve seen this video, tell me the HK121 would not make a dandy squad level MG.
