UK based Qioptiq, launched GRIFFIN, a modular weapon mountable laser pointing and Illuminating device at Eurosatory 2014, in Paris. GRIFFIN incorporates a visible and IR laser designator, range finder and illumination in a Picatinny compliant package. Qioptiq describes GRIFFIN as compact but in light of technologies like the Wilcox Raptor, GRIFFIN is not leading the fray.
