IWI has done a great job of modernizing this classic. I like the fact that it’s coming to market chambered in 7.6×39. I’ve shot Galil rifles in the past and you definitely needed your Wheaties – it was a heavy rifle and heavy to hump around. The new version comes in at 7.5 pounds without clean and without the magazine.
