General Dynamics and Singapore Technologies Kinetics Team To Produce Airburst Munitions For The U.S. Military

The 40mm airburst ammunition can be fired from existing US Army grenade launchers such as the Mk19and MK47.

The munition uses a programmable timed fuse technology that computes and programs the detonation time into the fuse. Once fired, the fuse counts down to zero detonating at the intended target point.
