The U.S. ARMY IS LOOKING FOR A CLIP-ON THERMAL SIGHT FOR SNIPERS

The U.S. Army Contracting Command issued a solicitation dated 17 March 2015 seeking what it designates as the Family of Weapon Sights – Sniper or FWS. The new thermal sight will work across all sniper system platforms including the M24, M107 .50BMG, M110 SASS and the M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle. Ideally, the FWS will be comparable to the AN/PVS-30 Clip-on Sniper Night Sight currently in use, which mounts in front of the magnified day optic.
