For 2017, Nikon introduced a high performance magnified optics line which they brand as the Black series. The model pictured above is their 1-4 x 24 mm optic. This scope features a 30mm tube finished in a very nice “tactical” matte black.
I was extremely impressed with the optical clarity and color rendition of this moderately priced optic. The Black Force 1000 ships with Nikon’s SPEEDFORCE reticle. This is an MOA reticle matching the elevation and wind turrets click value. The reticle is in the second focal plane and illuminated with 10 intensity settings and powers down after 1 hour of non-operation.
At an M.S.R.P. of $399.95, and an even better street price, this may very well be the optic to help you get that 3 Gun rifle up and running. The Black Force 1000 is currently not available, but if memory serves me look for it around the April – June time frame . It merits a full review and as soon as it’s available we’ll try to schedule one for you. As it stands right now, it gets a thumbs up from me.
