(Wilsonville, OR)— Crimson Trace®, recognized as America’s Top Brand of laser sights by national research firm Southwick Associates, recently played a pivotal part of The Well Armed Woman’s (TWAW) annual state conference held in Brooklyn, Michigan. Crimson Trace conducted an educational classroom session along with a hands-on range event to help the 80-plus participants learn more about firearms—and laser sights. The women attending the training at the Brooklyn Sportsman’s Club included chapter leaders for TWAW and various group representatives.

“The Michigan state conference is a great event for leaders and members of The Well Armed Woman to experience new activities and products,” states Donna Martorano, a TWAW Michigan co-leader. “It brings women together in a comfortable atmosphere.  This event is designed to equip, empower and educate our members.”

The two-day event included an on-site live-fire firearms familiarization program. The participants shot approximately 1,600 rounds during the hands-on range training and test sessions. A classroom program covered details on Crimson Trace laser sights and the many benefits that sighting accessories provide to firearms owners.

“This was a great venue for learning about firearms and laser sights, and experiencing how laser sights can help improve accuracy,” stated Erik Thornbury, Crimson Trace Channel Sales Coordinator and company representative at the event. “Everyone learned in a safe environment, gaining knowledge they can take with them and use whether they carry concealed or have a firearm for home defense.” Pistols and revolvers equipped with Crimson Trace laser sights were used during the range portion of the event. Participants discovered the benefits that laser sights provide in aiming, accuracy, firearm control and other factors in shot placement.

More programs pairing Crimson Trace products and representatives with TWAW events are planned for the future. TWAW Shooting Chapters is a non-profit organization that joins together groups of women across America. Those women meet monthly to practice, learn and grow as firearms owners and users. These TWAW events help women shooters learn more on related issues along with safe gun handling skills.

For more than two decades, Wilsonville, Oregon-based Crimson Trace has provided America with the world’s largest selection of award-winning laser sight and tactical light products. Full details can be obtained by visiting www.crimsontrace.com or by calling 800-442-2406.
