The Streamlight Protac lights have enjoyed tremendous popularity since their introduction. Then Streamlight added a rail mount feature, and in so doing, the company succeeded in delivering all of the Protac features in a weapon mounted form factor; eliminating the need to buy mounting hardware. In 2017, Streamlight improved on the already successful Protac Rail Mount light by boosting illumination to 1000 lumens, adding dual-fuel capabilities along with other features.
