Skynamo Aerospace of Wojnicz Poland sees its Raptor Hoverbike playing an advanced mobility role for the military. According to the company, operating the Hoverbike is like riding a motorcycle. Operator sitting position and its handlebar controls are similar to what you’d see on a motorcycle. Since what goes up must come down, in the event of engine power loss – for example by unnoticed fuel exhaustion – it runs the power generator in reverse mode, operating as an electric motor for driving the propellers. With power from the batteries, the pilot assisted by the PowerGuard system is able to land safely. The Raptor is priced somewhere in the neighborhood of $128,000 (not official).
