Commercial drone operators can request digital airspace authorization in U.S. controlled airspace through the very same AirMap mobile app that they use to plan missions, review advisories, and receive live traffic alerts. Automated authori- zation is available at San Jose International Airport (SJC); Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO);Lincoln Airport (LNK); andCincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) using the AirMap mobile app.
How It Works
Download the AirMap mobile app to apply for automated authorization for flights within pre-approved zones and altitudes, or manual authorization for flights outside of pre-approved zones and altitudes that require manual review.
