I hope you’ve all had an awesome Holiday Season and that Santa filled your stocking with all the goodies you’ve always wanted. It’s nice to have you back.
So, here we are and today is Friday; therefor, time for our weekly shoot the shit. As many of you have noticed, a good shoot the shit is, by far, better than therapy. Why? about 60% of all college students majoring in psychology are doing so to understand themselves. So, imagine getting life advice from someone who is trying to figure themselves out. Imagine sitting in front of Dr. Ford, of recent Senate Judiciary Committee fame! Disgusting!
In a short span of boredom, I created a XXX version of her testimony. Here it is…
“ I knew that soon Brett would want me. Boy was I right! I heard him crashing through the bedroom door with lust in his shimmering blue eyes and his bulbous member in hand. I fought but it was hopeless and succumbed to his passionate advances”
Anyway, shoot the shits are social interactions where none of the participants need to know anything about the subject or subjects being discussed. During a shoot the shit, you can make unsupported statements, use uncensored profanity, insult anyone you wish or change the subject altogether. Even better is the fact that you won’t have to pay some jackass $150, or more, per hour. There’s a reason why most insurance companies won’t pay for mental health services.
On to today’s topic…
I support our President on the border wall (barrier) as a first line of defense in providing border security. I find it extraordinarily embarrassing that we have expensive elected officials, who clearly don’t know the difference between a screw driver or pair of pliers, call a wall ineffective. Really? We secure embassies, military installations, government sites and sensitive infrastructure with barriers, yet Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer basically said to DHS Secretary Nielsen ,during a White House meeting, don’t confuse me with facts, my mind is made up and there won’t be a wall. They literally see opposing a wall, barrier or what have you, as denying Trump. The real victims of their insouciance are the Americans and their communities.
Readers, United States drug users are the source of over $200 billion per year in revenues to the drug cartels. In turn, these organizations finance gangs, human trafficking, kidnappings and pay off government officials corrupting all of Central America. Caravan participants are asking for asylum to get away from gang violence in their home countries. So, it seems basic that reducing cartel revenues would positively impact life in those countries. A border barrier would clearly reduce the flow of drugs impacting cartel revenues.
Please digest the data below. We are loosing young people by the truck load from drug use:
- In 2017, there were 70,237 drug overdose deaths in the United States up 9.6% from 2016 (CDC data)
Drug usage has an enormous social cost – enforcement, treatment, gang violence, illegal prostitution and a slew of petty crimes; yet, we have a Democrat House that sees denying Donald J. Trump a border barrier as the objective. What they’re doing is denying our citizens and residents the security and safety the government is required to provide.
A border barrier defeats human traffickers, making dangerous journeys that risk the lives of innocent women and children a thing of the past.
Those calling a border barrier ineffective must be forming their opinions from life experiences in environments where RPGs, car bombs, high explosives or bazookas are available breeching tools. The border barrier does not defeat 100% of attempts but it will address 99% of all cases. It’s one layer of border security which is reinforced by thermal imaging, wall sensors and UAV surveillance.
Not funding a border barrier is a vulgar display of political bickering over America’s security.
In closing, I’m going to ask you to contact your Congressman and tell them you support a border barrier, the Border Patrol needs it and America needs the security benefits it’ll provide.
Have a great weekend and let’s us hear from you. We wish you all and extraordinary 2019!
