You can’t find a news channel where the Coronavirus pandemic is not being discussed with various degrees of accuracy. You’ll find proponents of hydroxychloroquine, hydroxychloroquine with an antibiotic back, convalescent plasma treatments, etc. None of these should be interpreted as cures or reasons to avoid mitigation, i.e. social distancing, which is proven to be 100 % effective with no side effects. When you are assessing what you are being told by the media remember the following statement.
In science, there’s a concept called parsimony which is the idea that the simplest explanation that fits the evidence is the one that’s probably correct. And, what does the evidence show? That social distancing is effective at reducing the spread of infections. Take it to the bank!
