Fluid Admin for Working K9s will be taught by Jo-Anne Brenner of K9 MEDIC and Dr. Robin Van Metre (VMD).

Jo-Anne has developed and taught K9 Emergency Medicine programs for SAR, law enforcement, and military K9 handlers and paramedics for over 15 years. She leads a team of multidisplinary experts that have served USAF PJs, ATF Special Operations Medics, CBP (BorSTAR/BorTAC), and hundreds more teams.

Dr. Van Metre has over 20 years experience as an active emergency veterinarian, extensive involvement supporting law enforcement handlers in the field, and experience in search and rescue. She is a SARTECH certified member of NASAR and an active K9TECC contributor.

NFPA 3000 will be taught by Captain Justin Parrinello (Florida TEMS) and Sergeant Carla Miller (Patriot Consulting).

Captain Parrinello has worked with his department’s organization for 21 years as it relates to training and education. He is the Assistant Team Leader of the SWAT Medic Unit, serves on the Regional Domestic Security Task Force (RDSTF) Board for active shooter training and response, and is a board member for The International Public Safety Association – Rescue Task Force Committee.

Sergeant Miller is a member of the Coral Springs Police Department and has developed & coordinated active killer training for Broward County School staff, Broward County Fire Rescue, and EMS personnel. She has implemented Rescue Task Force Training and Unified Command and creates community-based training scenarios.
