Stop the Bleed: Ensuring Program Effectiveness
- The course will be taught by Katie Contreras, a 17-year FF/NRP in Central Texas.
- Katie is currently employed by a 911 agency in Central Texas and teaches full-time with Austin Community College as a Lead Instructor within the EMSP program. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty for the ALERRT Center at Texas State University.
- Katie holds Texas certifications in EMS/Fire, various AHA and NAEMT Instructor certifications, TP-C & CP-C through IBSC, and a B.A. in Disaster & Emergency Management from Columbia College South Carolina.
- Katie also owns her own training company, Come and Take It CPR and Safety Training.
