NSSF Welcomes Laurie Lipsey Aronson to Board of Governors
NEWTOWN, Conn. – NSSF®, the trade association for the firearm industry, is pleased to announce that its Patron members have elected industry executive Laurie Lipsey Aronson to its Board of Governors.
Aronson is Chairwoman and CEO of Lipsey’s, LLC, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The company is one of the largest independently owned, single-location firearm distributors in the country. The firm’s business roots date back to the 1940s, and it has been owned by the Lipsey family since 1977. Aronson succeeded her father, Richard Lipsey, as head of the company, becoming the third generation and first woman to lead a Lipsey family business.
“I am honored to have been asked to join NSSF’s Board of Governors,” said Aronson. “I will be sitting amongst the wonderful leaders in our industry, and I look forward to working with them.”
In addition to serving on the NSSF Board of Governors, Aronson currently serves as Chairwoman of the National Sporting Goods Wholesalers Association (NASGW). She is actively serving on or has been a member of many other industry boards such as the American Suppressor Association and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation.
Lipsey’s was named Company of the Year for 2020 by the Baton Rouge Business Report, has earned Distributor of the Year honors multiple times by SHOT Business Magazine and been recognized as Best Places to Work six times since 2014.
