Tactical Medical Solutions® (TacMed) Introduces Industry-Leading OLAES® Hemostatic Bandage

The next generation of the world’s most versatile trauma bandage now with built-in hemostatic gauze

Anderson, S.C. (April 6, 2021)Tactical Medical Solutions, LLC (TacMed) is excited to release an innovative addition to one of our core products: the OLAES® Hemostatic Bandage. This industry-first offering combines the globally recognized OLAES® Modular Bandage with the battle-tested HemCon® ChitoGauze® PRO, creating the most comprehensive trauma bandage on the market.

The OLAES® Modular Bandage is one of the most successful and utilized products from TacMed’s medical offerings. It has been a company mainstay for over 10 years, originating directly from experiences on the battlefield behind our flagship product, the SOF® Tourniquet. TacMed has partnered with Tricol Biomedical to incorporate the ChitoGauze® PRO into the bandage, one of few recommended hemostatic dressings by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC). Combining two proven lifesaving products into a single package greatly expedites a prehospital care provider’s ability to render aid to a victim, saving time at the point-of-injury and giving the victim the best chance of survival.

The OLAES® Hemostatic Bandage is the only system on the market to combine the features of a trauma bandage with the technology of a hemostatic agent, and ChitoGauze® PRO is the only hemostatic agent on the market to offer antibacterial properties. Both truly hemostatic in effect and modular in flexibility, the new set up provides the ability to treat multiple injury profiles all from one package. The OLAES® Hemostatic is proudly manufactured here in the USA.

The OLAES® Modular Bandage is a highly-valued medical product by first responders domestically and internationally, and with the addition of a hemostatic capability in the same compact package, these responders will be able to work even more effectively when every second counts. We are excited to offer our customers this truly unique capability.
