ADVISORY: Hawk Carlisle to discuss defense spending on Reagan Institute panel

ARLINGTON, VA – Hawk Carlisle, president and CEO of the National Defense Industrial Association, is among esteemed panelists for  “The Future of Defense Spending: Strategic Choices and Hard Tradeoffs,”<> a virtual, on-the-record event presented by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute, NDIA announces. This event takes place Tuesday, April 13, at 9 a.m. EDT.

Carlisle will appear with Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA), chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and Mackenzie Eaglen, resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. They will discuss findings of the report, “America’s Strategic Choices: Defense Spending in a Post-COVID-19 World<>.” The report was a collaboration of the Center for Strategic Budgetary Assessments (CSBA) and the Reagan Institute. The panel moderator is Thomas Mahnken, CBSA’s president and CEO.

The event will open with Smith giving an outline his committee priorities, particularly for the defense budget. He also will take part in a moderated discussion with Reagan Institute Director Roger Zakheim.
