North Star Arms was pleased to donate one of their high quality, hand crafted rifles to Stay In Step’s 6th Annual Gala fundraiser event. The black-tie event is the organization’s major annual fundraiser and celebration of achievements for clients, staff and supporters.
“We are honored to be a part of the Stay in Step Annual Gala and to support such an amazing organization, ” says Michael Iacobucci, President of North Star Arms. “Not only is Mr. Camargo an inspiration to us all, but the mission of SIS is truly life-changing for so many.”
Stay In Step (SIS) is a veteran-founded non-profit rehabilitation facility located in Tampa, FL that is dedicated to the recovery of patients with spinal cord injuries. U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Romulo “Romy” Camargo and his wife Gaby founded the SIS center in 2015 after years of traveling for treatment for Romy’s spinal cord injury. Romy suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the neck while deployed in Afghanistan in 2008 that left him paralyzed. Romy and Gaby’s journey has given them a passion to help others with spinal cord injuries or traumatic brain injuries by providing a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center and support group.
