Spotlight: SCI Convention Corporate Sponsors
Washington, D.C. (January 11, 2022) – The annual Safari Club International Convention would largely be impossible without corporate sponsorship, so we’d like to take a moment to recognize some of our biggest corporate sponsors ahead of our 50th anniversary.
Umarex
Umarex is one of the biggest names in air guns, offering everything from pellet guns to airsoft replicas to paintball guns and more. This year the Arkansas-based company will not just co-sponsor the “Night of the Hunter” banquet and auction, but they also signed a multi-year corporate sponsorship deal with SCI. Umarex’s financial support will aid SCI in hunter advocacy, education, and conservation programs worldwide.
QuietKat
In just nine short years, QuietKat has become one of the leading electric bike makers in the country. When the twin brothers founded the company, they created a quiet alternative to ATVs and combustion-engine vehicles. The Colorado-based company has become especially popular among hunters, fishermen, and outlander enthusiasts. QuietKat will co-sponsor the “Night of the Hunter” banquet and auction hosted by famed outdoor writer J. Alain Smith.
Wildlife Partners
Wildlife Partners is a wildlife conservation company that helps hundreds of landowners in the U.S. transform their private ranches into flourishing wildlife sanctuaries. So, it makes sense that the Texas-based company has been an SCI corporate sponsor since 2014. Although Wildlife Partners is a for-profit business, they share SCI’s mission in promoting hunting and wildlife conservation. Wildlife Partners is sponsoring Friday night’s dinner and auction with special guests Donald Trump, Jr., Medal of Honor recipient Edward Byers, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.
Bass Pro / Cabela’s
Bass Pro Shops is more than just one of the biggest outdoor retailers in the country; the Missouri-based company has also been an SCI corporate sponsor since 2007. SCI credits Bass Pro and Cabela’s, which Bass Pro acquired in 2017, for supporting their efforts in promoting hunting heritage. Yet, Bass Pro is more than just a supporter; they consider it part of their mission to advocate for sportsmen’s rights and protect wildlife habitats. Bass Pro and Cabela’s are sponsoring Saturday night’s “Celebrating 50 Years of Freedom” with musician Craig Morgan and guest speaker Tucker Carlson. They’re also backing the coveted SCI Young Hunter Awards.
