2022 NDIA CBRN Awards – Call for Nominations – March 31, 2022 Deadline

NDIA is accepting nominations for the two Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense Division Awards for presentation at the 2022 CBRN Defense Conference and Exhibition on July 26 – 28, 2022 in Baltimore, MD.

The Honorary William C. Baugh CBRN Defense Excellence Award recognizes an individual who has made the greatest overall contribution to CBRN defense programs during their lifetime. Achievements for which this award will be considered may relate to any of the many components that make up this highly diverse, complex, vital commodity:

Research and development through the acquisition of capabilities needed by the warfighters and first responders;
Identification of ever-growing threats; or
Innovation in training for the current, or future fight and identifying readiness initiatives for business opportunities.

Baugh Form

The Joseph D. Wienand NDIA CBRN Division STEM Excellence Award is in recognition of the greatest overall STEM achievement and/or efforts of an individual that most significantly impacted CBRN defense programs. This award recognizes the individual who, in the judgment of the panel, has demonstrated outstanding accomplishment through their own personal innovation and creativity in the areas of STEM. Example areas include but are not limited to:

Scientific, technological, engineering, or mathematical improvement; or
Enhancement of a CBRN defense-related product, system or process for the current year.

The awards will be presented at the 2022 CBRN Defense Conference and Exhibition. We value this opportunity to showcase the great work that has been done in the CBRN community in the last year and look forward to recognizing all your achievements!

Poster Abstracts Now Accepted

We invite high-quality professional posters that reflect the theme of “Competition, Climate Change, and CBRN Defense – Defining the challenges/ Delivering Solutions.” Submit your abstract by the deadline of Friday, May 6, 2022.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

The CBRN planning team is monitoring the COVID-19 situation as the health of our event participants, members, and partners remains our top priority. We are committed to following the guidelines and precautions as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the venue. Attendees should adhere to the following at the conference:

PROOF OF VACCINATION: All attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to arriving onsite for badge pick-up. Details for securely providing documentation will be provided shortly on the event website.
MASKS: NDIA follows CDC and state guidelines. Currently, it is recommended that fully vaccinated attendees wear a mask indoors, but they may choose not to. All attendees that are not fully vaccinated or do not wish to disclose that information will be required to wear face masks. Please plan and bring your own face mask. A very limited supply of disposable masks will be available onsite.
WAIVER: All registrants are required to sign NDIA’s COVID-19 waiver during the online registration process. Attendees may disclose their vaccination status at the time of signing.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: Additional venue space will be available to allow for attendees to spread out.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE: Food and beverage areas will be designed to minimize touchpoints utilizing individually packaged or attended stations.
