ADVISORY: NDIA, Purdue host Breakthrough Energetics event this week; online coverage available

ARLINGTON, VA — As the invasion of Ukraine, and the shadow of a wider conflict, underscores the need for improved domestic supply chains for innovative energetic materials, leaders in defense research will assemble at Purdue University for the 2022 Breakthrough Energetics Conference<https://www.ndia.org/events/2022/5/4/breakthrough-energetics-2022>, Wednesday and Thursday, May 4 and 5, the National Defense Industrial Association announces.

Online attendance is available for this event, which is a collaboration of NDIA’s Emerging Technologies Institute and Purdue’s Energetics Technology Center. Because of your reporting and interest in this field, we especially welcome your coverage. This event is on the record except for two classified sessions (Global Threat Assessment, and the Perspective of Technology and System Gaps) that media may not attend.

Our guests include government, military, industry and academia professionals who will discuss the current state of energetics technology, manufacturing and supply-chain capabilities and the future of the energetics workforce. A complete agenda is available here<https://www.ndia.org/events/2022/5/4/breakthrough-energetics-2022/agenda>.
