My name is Eddie Penney. I spent two decades in the United States military, first as a Marine Infantryman and later as a Tier One Navy SEAL. After growing up on a steady diet of 1980s action movies, my childhood dream of kicking down doors and shooting bad guys in the face actually came true. I had the privilege of hunting down the enemies of this nation in Afghanistan, East Africa and Iraq, sending them to hell with extreme prejudice.
I’ve been through intense combat and have passed the most strenuous selections and training events in the world, but nothing prepared me for the challenge of becoming a single father in the midst of my SEAL career or dealing with the emotional struggles that followed.
