MARS From Parabellum Armament At SHOT SHOW 2013

Parabellum Armament Company, LLC are the folks that brought you the highly successful AKARS or AK Adaptive Rail System. They’ve recently introduced, at SHOT Show 2013, a new accessory designated MARS for the AK platform. MARS is a lever actuator that attaches to the AK’s magazine release and extends back to the weapon’s grip. MARS enables the operator to release the magazine using the thumb; thus, enhancing safety and operator comfort. I had an opportunity to use it and examine it closely, and frankly I couldn’t think of running an AK without it!

Although still designated a prototype MARS should be available by June 2013 at ±$50. The production model will have some minor refinements, like a slightly longer lever to accommodate short stubby hands like mine.

If you are AK centric, MARS is a must have!
