Under a contract worth €12.5 million, Heckler & Koch will deliver G36 automatic rifles and HK269 40mm grenade launchers to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence. Delivery is expected to take place in 2017. The G36 rifles ordered will have requested modifications to the sight rails, handguard and buttstocks. The HK269 grenade launchers will differ from those currently in service by allowing the opening of the tube to both sides of the rifle.
